'Das Universum Klee' - Neue Nationalgalerie - Berlin - Deutschland

Mit seiner sehr individuellen, jedoch zugleich universalen Bildsprache zählt Paul Klee (1879-1940) zu den bedeutendsten Künstlern des 20. Jahrhunderts. Schon 1901 war für ihn klar: "Ein guter Künstler will ich werden." Und 1906 notierte er in sein Tagebuch: "Alles wird Klee sein." In strategischer Verfolgung dieser Ziele legte er bereits 1911 ein akribisches Werkverzeichnis an, das bis zu seinem Tod über 9000 Einträge umfassen sollte.

Die Nationalgalerie widmet dem Jahrhundertkünstler Paul Klee nun eine Ausstellung, die zu einer großen Reise in das faszinierende Universum Klee einlädt. Alle Schaffensphasen umfangend, lässt sie die visionär-poetischen Bildwelten Klees, die das Abstrakte und das Figürliche auf einmalige Weise verschmelzen, in ihren zahlreichen thematischen Fassetten erlebbar werden.

Ein zentraler Ausstellungsraum widmet sich der Analyse von Paul Klees Auseinandersetzung mit zehn der wichtigsten Künstler seiner Zeit, darunter Ensor, van Gogh, Kubin, Kandinsky, Marc und Picasso. Um diesen Kern gruppiert sich das Universum Klee. Nach Art eines Emblembuches sind die Bereiche versammelt, denen sich Klee wie ein Enzyklopädist widmete. Geburt, Kindheit und Jugend sind ebenso Themen des menschlichen Individuums wie der Eros oder die Welt der Väter und Mütter. Formen und Dinge werden in Kapiteln über Stillleben, Interieurs und Architektur in den Blick genommen. Die Natur ist präsent in der Darstellung von Pflanzen, Tieren und Landschaften. Kulturelle Ausdrucksformen wie Musik, Theater, Schrift und Religion leiten über zu den dunklen und zerstörerischen Kräften, welche in Gestalt von Krieg, Angst und Tod in Erscheinung treten. Klees Kosmos erweist sich als ein vollständiger Ideen- und Bilderkreis, in dem der Künstler die Gesamtheit der Welt zu erfassen und deuten versucht.

Mit 250 Meisterwerken Paul Klees unternimmt es die Nationalgalerie, erstmals nach der genau 85 Jahre zurückliegenden Klee-Ausstellung im Kronprinzenpalais, wieder eine umfassende Retrospektive des Künstlers in Berlin zu zeigen.

Paul Klee, one of the most important artists of the 20th century, was the creator of a highly individual yet at once universal pictorial language. As early as 1901, he knew that he wanted to "become a good artist.” And by 1906 he noted in his diary: "All will be Klee.” In strategic pursuit of these aims, in 1911 Klee began to meticulously chronicle his works in a catalogue. By the time he died, this was to contain over 9000 items.

The Nationalgalerie has now dedicated a major exhibition to Paul Klee, inviting you to embark on a journey through the fascinating Klee Universe. Embracing all stages of his creative development, the exhibition brings to life the visionary-poetic world of Klee's art in all its thematic facets, illuminating the unique way in which the artist fused the abstract and the figurative.

A central room of the exhibition looks at the analysis of Paul Klee's relationship with ten of the most important artists of his time, among them Ensor, van Gogh, Kubin, Kandinsky, Marc, and Picasso. In the surrounding exhibition space, ‘The Klee Universe' unfolds. In the manner of a Baroque emblem book, the exhibition covers the aspects of life which Klee, in his capacity as the encyclopaedist of an entire cosmos, chose to capture in his art. Klee's universe is centred around the human individual. Birth, childhood and youth are as much part of this as Eros and the world of mothers and fathers. Sections on interiors and architecture take a look at forms and objects created by man; while nature appears in images of plants, animals, and landscapes. Culture is expressed in music, theatre, script, and religion. Finally, dark and destructive forces appear in the shape of war, fear, and death. Klee's cosmos proves a universal cycle of ideas and images, an Orbis Pictus, through which the artist seeks to grasp, interpret and encrypt the world all at the same time.

With ‘The Klee Universe', comprising some 250 works, the Nationalgalerie undertakes the first comprehensive Klee retrospective in Berlin since the exhibition of his work at the Kronprinzenpalais exactly 85 years ago.

Il y a plus d'un siècle, en 1886 précisément, une poignée d'artistes bénévoles, amoureux du Montmartre d'antan et révoltés par les dérives architecturales de l'époque, se réunirent dans un bistrot du haut de la rue Lamarck, dénommé " Le Rocher Suisse ", avec pour volonté de protéger et de voir perdurer la culture, l'histoire et le site de la Butte Montmartre.

A cette fin, ils constituèrent la Société d'Histoire et d'Archéologie " Le Vieux Montmartre ", reconnue d'utilité publique, dont la double vocation, toujours présente dans ses statuts actuels, était de rechercher et conserver tous les témoignages artistiques, historiques, ou ethnologiques, attachés au site de Montmartre, tout en contribuant à la protection et à la sauvegarde de ce qui est, depuis son annexion en 1860, un arrondissement de Paris, mais qui demeure, aux yeux de tous, un véritable " village ".

Parallèlement, la Société participe au sauvetage de monuments condamnés à la démolition. Tel était le sort du Manoir de Rosimond, bâtisse où la Société, après de longues négociations avec de la Ville de Paris, installa ses collections en 1960, formant ainsi le Musée de Montmartre.

Au milieu d’un jardin verdoyant et plantée sur les contreforts des Vignes de Montmartre, cette demeure, du nom d’un comédien de la troupe de Molière, abrita d’illustres artistes comme Pierre Reverdy et d’autres encore…

Auguste Renoir, sans doute le plus célèbre d’entre eux, y eût son atelier et y réalisa des toiles majeures, parmi lesquelles, « le Bal du Moulin de la Galette », « la Balançoire », ou « Danse à la Ville », pour laquelle Suzanne Valadon servit de modèle.
Plus tard, Emile-Othon Friesz et Raoul Dufy, ces « fauves », firent jaillir, dans les ateliers du premier étage, leurs sauvages et truculentes couleurs, alors que, revenu de Pont-Aven, Emile Bernard, à l’élégance toute provinciale, rivalisait avec celle plus musicale d’Erik Satie, qui se déplaçait en voisin.

C’est dans l’atelier, laissé vacant par ce précurseur du synthétisme, que s’installèrent Suzanne Valadon, son amant André Utter, et son fils Maurice Utrillo, léguant à la postérité, dans le vacarme de leurs relations tumultueuses, l’une des allégories les plus vivantes de la Bohème montmartroise.

D’autres artistes contribuèrent également à enrichir l’âme du 12 rue Cortot, à l’image de Francisque Poulbot, dont l’histoire retiendra ce terme générique aux accents ethnographiques de«Père des gosses ».

heeft meer dan 30 jaar ervaring en
genoot opleidingen in sierkunst en
textielscheikunde.
Zij organiseert regelmatig cursussen in
eigen atelier voor beginners,
gevorderden en professionelen.
Een greep uit het aanbod:
basistechnieken met was,
gecombineerd met schilderen, verven,
ontkleuren, etsen, craquelé,
transparantie…
Op aanvraag treedt zij op als
gastdocente voor workshops ‘op maat’
in uw vereniging, bedrijf of instelling.
Telkens degelijke opleidingen
aangepast aan het niveau van de
deelnemers.
Zij geeft ook lezingen over Batik,
aangevuld met een PowerPoint
projectie over oorsprong, tradities,
hedendaagse evoluties en technieken,
reisreportages… uiteraard over batik.
